Is there an app that removes the 20MB 3G download limit on Apple iPhone 4?

My iphone has been jailbroken so I can use apps from the App Store or from Cydia. I dont mind paying either. Id just like to know if any app will remove the limit so that I can download large apps and podcasts without Wi-fi.

No, the limit is placed and monitored by the provider, not by the phone.

I used to do tech support for iPhone and that limit if you have one (not all countries do) is set there by the people you pay your phone bill to (Rogers, ATT, etc.)
As for an app, there might be one that exists, but I’ve never heard of it.
I don’t think it is set up by the signal carrier.
If so it should apply to all smart phones (eg Andriod phone etc.)
iPhone 4 running OS4.2 not Jail Broken.. Yet.. Spent today on the phone to my service provider about this issue (optus in Australia) after much back and forth and hold music I was told that the app store 20mb limit is by apple and can’t be changed (without JB) but the guy swore black and blue that there should not be a file size limiter on the iTunes phone based app and I should be able to download larger files like podcasts over 3G, But after much messing around in all the settings he could not fix the issue and said he would get back to me.. Now, not being one to admit defeat I went on the hunt for something that could download padcasts without the limiter, there are 2 and after waisting money on both it’s hardly with the effort. Podcaster is discracefull! It crashes every time to try to add a feed (AVOID IT) the other is called Podcatcher this one at least let’s you add feeds (you get the feed RSS URL from sites like castroller.com (this took me an hour to find out) go there, find your cast, press and hold the RSS link then select the option copy, go back to podcatcher paste the URL and go from there.. One issue is to be able to start the download you have to start streaming the cast the select the download option, problem is that the play/pause button doesnt work and there is no option to cancel the streaming (FFWD AND RWD) do stop the track playing.. Other than that it’s crashed a few times and is really ugly to use but it’s the only way round the issue unless you JB and the 4.2pwn isn’t out yet.. Guess I’ll have to wait… I hope this helps anyone else as the was the only semi decent thread on the 20mb DL cap issue.. Fucking Apple every day it’s a new form of control…
